ok so i finaly did the automatic to manual swap and it was great the car started fine but last night i was driveing home the oil light was blinking on and off then the car died i started it back up but it sounded like a very weak start. i ran stop signs in fear my car was gonna die luckly it was late and i was 3 blocks away from home anyway i started it this mourning and shortly after it died i tryed to restart it the engine turned but it wouldent start i tried it again while giveing it some gas and something poped i dont know what it was. i'v been reading on the site its probably the ignition i would check my manual but unfortunately i lost it somewhere if anyone could give me any advice i would greatly appreciate it. thankx:dsm:

Ok so I checked all the electrical and it was fine I changed the fuel pump and it still didn't start finally I called my brother and he told me to do a compression test the results where ...

Cylinder #1- 90 psi
Cylinder #2- 10-0 psi
Cylinder #3- 80 psi
Cylinder #4- 0 psi

He said I need to do a full rebuild but im not sure how I should go about it I don't want to do a stock rebuild but I think a high performance rebuild would be too much... any one have any suggestions

You could go with the 2g pistons and 1g rods. Supports like 450-500hp and if much cheaper than full forged.

I thought about that and its a great idea but I was also wondering if I could go with Lancer Evolution pistons I read they are lighter and have a slightly lower compression than 2g pistons and its the same engine... anyone have any suggestions on what aftermarket parts I should install during the rebuild this is my first time rebuilding an engine but I want to rebuild it to perform better and run faster I have a general idea of what I want to put in it but I want to know if anyone has suggestions on parts that have performed well for them or if they know of vendors who you would suggest I go to things like that let me know guys thanks.... :dsm:
