1G Jay Racing alternator relocation kit problem

Hi I have the following problem. Installed Jay Racing alternator relocation kit. But I have this problem! The alternator pulley is rubs and rests in the cabin! Any Idea Every help is necessary! Thanks!

The only solution I'm aware of is to dent the chassis where it hits.

I had this problem years ago, lots of discussion in this thread. I never did end up using it, but general response was to "dent" the rail there to clearance the pulley. Seems like the problem is with cars that have been in an accident or weren't perfectly straight (was the case for my chassis).

Grind the surface of the bracket that faces the driver's side. This will compensate for how far the alternator moves outward. I did this and stopped the rubbing

Can't you use the inner lane of crank pulley? It looks like you have it available. You can move the alternator toward passenger side by changing the pivot bolt spacer position to use the inner lane of crank pulley.

I just installed this i dented the frame a bit with a hammer and mallet, works and clears fine now .

Mine is very close, too. But I have metal solid engine mounts, so it doesn't touch the chassis.
And now I am wondering how to put tension on the water pump belt if we use the inner lane. It requires a sort of tensioner?

I’ll be part of the dent the chassis crew, did that on many b-swapped Hondas back in the day.

Thanks to everyone for the quick answers and tips. I decided to try with a hammer and then with a shorter extensible alternator belt.
I will share what happened!
