yeah right after i posted this jay sent me the pics of the install. he forgot to put them in the box.

thanks for the help though.

See that's what gets me, the instructions say to re-use one of the old bolts to mount the vertical bar, but the old bolts are the long ones so basically I need to get a shorter bolt and be done with it.

just an update on this. I found that to properly get the alternator to line up with either pulley the spacers that jay provided with the kit did not allow it to work. i ended up making my own since the provided spacers were 1/8 inch off no matter which ones i used.

this is a very helpful thread. i realized lastnight that my turbo and manifold will not let me have the factory a/c and factory alternator mount... and i couldn't remember how it went... .thanks guys..

dustin.

what i had to do to get the kit to fit.

notch the bracket as the instructions said

the spacers(aka washers) to get the belt lined up.

neither of the stock pieces allowed the belts to line up properly.

after the washers were used this was the final position of the alt and the pulley's.

I also had to bore out the piece that the screw passes thru to connect to the alternator with a bit as it was so tight it was mangling the threads on the bolt that was provided.

overall the kit was ok for a shop make kit. I wouldn't call it a perfect fit and I understand that every car is different so ill give the kit an 8/10 since it did do what it was intended to do and it was easy to adjust for the revisions i had to make to get it installed.
