I got the chance to see it in person, and it is really quality work. Tracy said there is more wet sand and clear yet to go. I wish I had grabbed a shot of the Logan Silver Metallic on the side skirt, It looks much better than I remember it.

I'm looking forward to the improved trim level stock look of a painted CF hood.
I want to locate a heat blanket for under the hood protection, and if can ever find a hood vent that does not suck, I'll get that installed.
 
I have a couple plastic things inside that need touchup. Same routine here that was used for the cowl cover, except the color coat is a color matched mix.

Soap and water clean, light wet sand, plastic prep wipe down, and xxx adhesion promoter:

After 15min wait time, then 2 light coats of primer 1hr between coats:

This last visit, the bumpers and hood were on, with a new issue to address with the hood closure. This Carbon Creations hood is so lightly constructed that the spring force in the stock latch was too strong. That, and the alignment of the loop that pushes into the latch was off.

For the moment I’ve ask to just remove the latch and install the hood pins to hold it closed until I can spend more time on it.

A fellow DSM did find lighter spring for this at ACE hardware:

And he even test fit it on his car before adding to the “make it black” pile of parts.
