It jerks weird in mid of 3rd gear...

I just bought my DSM so im not much help to you but if you go surfin around the forums you will run into the same question that people have gotten great answears to. I just remember reading alot of the posts where people were answearing this same question.. Hope that is of any help to you. :thumb:
 
I get it too.. like a baby fuel cut..

happens when i'm overboosting but only when I'm slightly.. like i fuel cut at 14psi... if I dip like 13.9 barely into 14 it'lljerk like I hit a bump or something and then keep goin...

usually around almost ~4000rpm
 
you last two know when the last time your fuel filter was changed? ive had this happen a few times and it acted just like you guys are describing...might check it out, fairly cheap anyway

ya man, I changed it about 3 weeks ago...

still does it, only at High boost... maybe i should re-wire the stock fuel pump..

I wish i could find an ecu that didn't cost a fortune so I could buy DSMlink and monitor my car properly rather then guessing all the time
 
got a logger? and maybe your fpr went to shit....thats a possibility....so many things that it could be, its hard to just point and say THATS IT ya know? damn cars

nah I dont..

I figured rather then buying an Safc II, a Palm, the pocketlogger the hostsync cable etc... I'd just save a little more and get a DSMlink...if ur gonna do it, do it right...

so I'm just swinging in the dark at the moment...

the car is fine up to 13 or so psi.... I dunno I think it's just fuel cut.. but i'm not sure...


how can I test my FPR?
 
I'm not sure what more I can give ya. Cause its my girls car and I'm the mecanic, she just warns me of stuff, its done it to me once. And i was at the point of shifting into 4th at 4rpm, mbc is set @ 15psi so I was pushing 15 psi that I know of. Wasn't racing it, just jumped out into traffic.
The CEL is on for the FPR sensor...its f*cked I guess? And wasn't going to waste the money getting a new one since I'll be upgrading the fuel this next month after exhaust and such.
So yes:
* its a hard JERK that those ya into the dash and back into the seat.
*No boost leaks, I have tested that the first time she said it jerked on her.
* I haven't done the filter yet its something I KEEP forgetting to do! And it's on my list NOW, thanks.
* Sorry if this still ain't enough. I was being to worry its the trany? Since I just got the transfer case recal done and there were wanting to put a new trany in durh at no charge but the service manager didn't see a need for it at this time. :confused:

so basically you are feeling a misfire? Any check engine codes? Check your a/f and check for boost leaks. Maybe checking plug gaps is also a good idea. Millions of things could cause this ... my car did the same thing before because the power transistor had some slight corrosion on 1 of the terminals. I cleaned it out and it was all good again.
 
Well the plugs are fine..its a 55k 6 bolt motor..LOL..so I basically cleaned and re newed everything. Ya I'm throwing a CEL but I know what it is..it's the fpr relay like I said, how do I know that? I read the code off of it and I had a buddy let me use his fpr relay for a day or so off his gsx and no cel came back on..but once I put hers back on it came right back on.
*shakes head* But I'll check the fuel filter cause I KNOW that hasn't been changed on the body of this car(this car was very untaken care of hint havin but the 6 bolt in....)
