vibration in 3rd gear

i have a 1.8 92 talon

i am geting a small vibration in third
no vibration in any other gear
50k miles on the car

could it be the timeing?

Does the vibration increase with engine/wheel speed?
I ask as woudl not rule out a wheel imbalance

Does the vibration come with any kind of noise? What kind of vibration is it? High speed, wheel speed? Give us some more specifics.
