Is this crank a good buy?

I'm going to be taking a look at this crank this weekend. It's been a LOOOOONG time since I even saw a DSM crank and I doubt the seller will let me bring it to a machine shop for a once over. He said it was from a car that spun a bearing but that he was able to polish it out. Is this an OK procedure? If you want to know what's wrong with my crank, it's an Eagle 100mm and if this engine goes, I won't be building another 2.3L.

    Price is $180

Take a set of micrometers with you and measure the spun journal in front of him. Write it all down and take it to a machine shop.

That's too much for reground crank. And based on measurements shown it needs ground again.

Also the 1g crankshafts are nitrided/hard coated, and it will be missing that hard coating in spots.

Where you located? I have one i'm not using that has no wear what so ever. It's basically one I pulled from a block an old friend wanted and this one wont need oversized bearings.
