I had my exhuast manifold off and what not and noticed my compressor housing is cracked inside. i put it back together and i am not building boost. couldit be due to the cracked housing? or could by wastegate be stuck? it did make full boost beforei had it apart.

It would have to be one serious crack to not allow any boost to be produced. I would check to make sure that your wastegate is closing all the way and the flapper door moves freely. It definitely sounds like it might be stuck open.

I had a similar problem. No boost after a hard drive. I thought it was the internal waste gate. I took the actuator arm off the wastegate and the wastegate flapper flipped open. It got jammed inside the O2 downpipe, so I had to take the turbo off. I took a die grinder and clearanced out some excess weld material till the flapper could open full, and cleaned up the O2 bung. Re installed everything, and noticed I had burn a hole in my silicone elbow coming off the turbo discharge too near the exhaust header tube.

Short answer possibly a boost leak in the intercooling piping.

At the end of the wastegate actuator rod there is a a cotter pin you can remove to allow it to slide off of the wastegate flapper door arm. Then you should be able to move the flapper door back and forth. It should move freely without any binding. Make sure the door is all the way closed when the actuator rod is on the flapper door arm.

Your actuator might be broke. Small chance, but I had one where the top actually seperated and would allow the boost to pass through with no restriction.
