I wanted to get opinions on whether it was possible to swap out intake manifolds with the engine still in the bay.
I am looking to swap out the 2G intake manifold on the 2G head in my Spyder GST for an EVO 3 intake manifold. However, I’m not looking to pull the motor on this car just yet and am wondering if I can do this with the engine still in chassis. The studs on the bottom of the intake runners are what are making me question the feasibility of this.
Please let me know any opinions, or if anyone has done/attempted this (I’m sure both). I’m trying to avoid starting the removal of the necessary components on the head if it’s just going to be a fruitless effort.
Thank you
