Just wondering how you guys that use it, are adjusting it. I have some 1450cc injectors and when the fans kick on, the voltage drops and the car wants to die if I don't press the gas to keep it going. I know it adjust for deadtime at different voltages but do you adjust it up or down? And how do you know the proper amount to adjust it at different voltages? Thanks.
 
Basically what you said, battery voltage drops when your fans kick on and your ECU isn't adding enough deadtime so your AFR's go lean. Your probably idling around 12-13v and when your fans kick on it drops so you'll want to change your 12v settings by INCREASING the deadtime, then adjust your 9v deadtime for smoother transition down to the 7v deadtime.

Personally it took a 130 usecs increase in deadtime at the 12v to get AFR's on line when my fans kicked on.

For your initial 12v deadtime correction increase it 150 usecs then start a datalog capturing battery voltage and your WB AFR. If it still leans out when the fans kick on add 50 usecs more, if it goes rich when they kick on you added too much deadtime so take 50 usecs off of it.
If your sitting there waiting for the fans to kick on this will take you forever, manually turn them on and off using the Misc tab in your settings. Just make sure your cars at op temp (coolant @ 180*+) when your doing it.

As far as starting your car goes there can be a few reasons...
What type of fuel are you using?
What type of spark plugs are you running?​

It is possible to log your cars initial start-up so you can see what your battery voltage is doing while the cars cranking.

I ditched my JMF battery kit and went back to my regular sized battery. Haven't had an issue since.
