I don't know what else to do. The car still runs terrible and smokes bad. I just installed an AFPR (base fuel pressure set to 43.5psi) and it didn't help anything (I thought maybe their was a non-stock fuel pump).

Here is a new log from tonite. Can someone please give me some insight? I have no clue what is wrong with it and it needs to pass smog tests, it's about 3 weeks past due and I can't drive it.

Any help is very much appreciated.

You need to go into captured values and log AFR's (if you have a wideband), combined fuel trim, stft, ltft low and mid , your airflow per rev is high, you will want to go into your mafcomp table and lower the 50hz and 100 hz sliders down untill your airflowperrev is at about .25, after you get it to there, go into your fuel tab, make sure you have your injectors correctly set and adjust the deadtime untill your combined fuel trims are around the 1% mark...I know I am probably forgetting some steps, I had a long day so hopefully somebody else can chime in too...here is a link that may somewhat help http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-tuning-ecu/262460-basic-dsmlink-tuning-guide.html you can also go to ecm link site and watch the tutorial videos again if you havnt done so allready

This is a little of topic, but.

Will DSM link V2 open a V3 log?

edit1 I just noticed that your using ECMLink and not DSM-Link. Sorry for any confusion.

edit2 I did a little research and ECMLink = DSMLink, I think?

You just need to download the v3 software on the website.

Thank you for the help Dert, I will do all those things tonite.

Pretty much ya, they just switched to a different name.

Here is a new log from tonite with a new maf and a new set of spark plugs. I pulled the plugs after the log, and they are black, just like the set I pulled out before. At 45 seconds, I unplugged the maf, and plugged it back in at about 90 seconds. It runs a lot better with it unplugged. There are a few CEL codes in the log too. The new maf didn't seem to make a difference, it still runs bad.

Do you know what the codes are?

0110 Intake air temperature circuit malfunction

This is the first time I've had CELs

Sounds like either a faulty mass air sensor or the plug itself is faulty, like maybe the contacts on the clip are not mateing up right correctly. Are you able to confirm on say a friends car that your maf is good? Or even borrow a diff maf and plug it into yours. All 3 of those codes are directly from your maf

I'll try my maf in another car tomorrow when I have access to another 2G. Do you have a link or something to show how to reset the base idle with ECMLink.

I have it set to 1000rpms in the log, I didnt know if there was a way to reset the idle or something with the biss.

They all look good, but I could replace it just to make sure. Did you replace just the plug, or the entire harness thing?

I had an extra plug with the wires, so I re-soldered the new plug on. I also have an extra maf that I'm not using and would let it go for cheap if you need one. Have you done anything different with the maf wiring at some point? I also know one wrong wire will throw those codes.

Your using old V3 firmware and software that you should change, this won't fix your issue but it gets updated for a reason so do it to your ECMLink.

First download the most recent stable version v3.21.40 and then download early access v3.21.109 from the ECMLink Downloads page. After doing this you'll want to update your firmware as well but to do so its a bit trickier than just clicking a link.
  1. You'll want to submit a firmware request and to do it requires you to connect to your cars ECU. Click ECU from the drop down and click Create Firmware Request... paying close attention to where its saved on your computer.
  2. Request Firmware Upgrade... and select Choose File and find your firmware file you just saved.
  3. Download the new firmware to your desktop or somewhere you can easily access it and then open up ECMLink.
  4. Click the ECU drop down menu and select Upgrade Firmware and then pick the file you just downloaded while your connected to the ECU in the car.

All those DTC's you see are from you unplugging the MAF, of course your going to throw faulty MAF codes if you unplug the thing. None of your MAFComp sliders have been adjusted like Dert suggest you do. Watch these demo videos and make changes where its necessary, especially your MAFComp sliders.

Do ALL the above and then post a log of your car idling after its warmed to operation temp.
