IAC and Aftermarket Throttle Bodies

I'm tired of dealing with all the annoying vacuum lines and plugs going to the stock throttle body on my 1g GSX. Also. doesn't the fact that coolant lines run through the throttle body to warm up the air for cold weather mean that the stock throttle body is robbing my car of power? I was considering getting an aftermarket throttle body with nothing on it except an accelerator lever and a butterfly. I was just wondering if not having an IAC is bad for the car. I know it will make the car rev erratically at idle, but my car already does this so my IAC may already be toast. I was just wondering if getting a new throttle body with nothing on it but a butterfly sounds like a good idea. Also, I'm having a hard time finding one. Know of anywhere to get one online for my car. Thanks.

They dont make any for DSMs others have adapted mustang TBs etc. Go the the how to tech sections they have some write ups on the 1gs

the functions you have on ## throttle body is meant for cold starting to keep your idle up if you delete that you cant just start ## car and run back in the house and get ready, you would physically have to be out in the car to warm it up, however if you dont mind that then try one of these
DSM FIAV Blockoff Plate
that wowuld take away the bottom half of you throttle body which would be your isc motor and fiav (fast idle air valve) i believe thats what its called hope that helps

Not completly true...I have mine removed and I just have to keep my foot on the gas for maybe a minute before I can get out. All of the idle control is done vis the biss and I love it.
