i want more power!!

sooo right now i have a big 16g but not happy with the power put down!
heres all my mods any suggestions? im stuck between 18 or 20G..still have much more research to do!

any advice would be helpfull!

-EVO 16g
-020 oversize pistons
-wiseco forged pistons/wiseco rings
-Eagle forged H-beam rods
-ARP main/rod/head bolts
-ACL 5 layer race main/rod bearings
-oem t-belt/idler pully/tensinor/tensinor pully
-cometic mls head gasket dsm
-SIM motor sports stage 1 head
-272 CAMS
-head stage 2 port/polished
 
18g, 20g, 68hta...Your going in the right direction, but I think you need to do more research on what you want or need..

I didn't see exhaust in the list..That should help free up a few extra ponies..Also no tuning, pump, or injectors are in the list either..There is only so far you can go on stock fuel system..
 
What is your budget?

You can get more power just by swapping compressor wheels on your MHI turbo, you will need a new compressor cover though. That is the cheapest way to increase power without having to get a new one. I would go an make a td05 20g. Many people will tell you this, its an amazing street turbo for under 25 psi. Reliability of MHI and fast spooling. If you do take this route, I would also rebuild the turbo and use an upgrade thrust plate. With your current setup you can take full advantage of the 20g.

It doesn't say anywhere in your profile about an upgrade fuel system. You can make huge gains by upgrading this system, you will need to also if you are running a larger turbo.
 
What did you have for a fuel system and tuning?

What are your goals for the car? Is it going to be a drag, autocross, street car, etc?
 
im currently tuned on 93 at 300 hp, just a safe tune

my goal is just a street car that can put down decent power...budget isnt really a problem i would jsut like to go with a bigger turbo but have yet to start my research or were about is the best place to do my reasearch, so many posts but i do not know what to look for...any good links/posts you could direct me to so i can research turbos?

Up the boost

Not without the proper prerequisites.

Upgrade fuel pump, Aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, then I would turn up the boost. 650cc can make power on a 20g with pump gas.

If you are switching to E85 to make more power, i would look into larger injectors 850cc and up. You will also need to upgrade you fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator

You should also rewire the fuel system at this point.

Exactly, i just meant before slapping a bigger turbo on it he needs to up the boost a bit more. The evo 16g seems to make 350 pretty regularly.

If he doesnt have a larger fuel pump and rewire then that should clearly be the next step.

you have all the up grades man...better tune? upgrade fuel? boost controller ? have you considered cams? downside to cams is you loose drive-ablity (bigger cams i mean)

OP said in the first post he has 272s.

OP, you should be able to make about 350whp on pump gas with your set up, so long as you have enough fuel and a good tune. You'll need an upgraded fuel pump that is re-wired, an AFPR, and 650cc injectors or bigger.
