ok i need new motor mounts but i dont know rather to buy the motor mounts or just the inserts? some one pleas help me out here what would be better?

I bought new mounts for my mmi's. I love it. But my front and rear mounts were in two pieces, so anything helped.

Do not create a new thread just because your previous one you posted yesterday didn't get answered.

What is wrong with your current mounts? If your front/rear mounts (the rubber part on the inside, not the metal part) are messed up, you'll need a whole new mount since the aftermarket ones are inserts. Or you can go with solid front/rear mounts.

If your drivers/transmission mounts (the rubber part again, not the metal) are messed up, get aftermarket mounts (i.e. Prothanes) as they replace the rubber section.

If any of the metal parts are messed up, you'll need new mounts (either used or new from the factory).

dont buy new motor mounts..just buy the inserts n u take old stock ones n use the new ployurethane ones...i made the mistake in buying new mounts when i could have just got the ployurethane inserts..i wasted money on both new mounts n inerts..so just dont do ### i did haha..buy just inserts n u can def use ## stock mounts

ummm...What? :)

If your front/rear mounts (the rubber part on the inside, not the metal part) are messed up, you'll need a whole new mount since the aftermarket ones are inserts.

For the record, on my 1G only the front set came as side inserts only and required a new factory mount. The set for the rear was a full two-piece insert with the metal center bushing, just like the driver's side and tranny mounts.

I believe these were from Energy Suspension though, and may be different than true Prothanes.

Here is a pic of the rear and driver's side mounts with the new inserts:
