I mixed the rod caps

so I have the rod caps on the right rods but I apperently flipped two of them around and I’m not sure which is right. Does the E go towards the front of the car or rear?

The indentations for the bearing shells go on the same side.

Which side. I put two with the E facing forward and two facing the back. Which is right?

So you want to know which way the rod itself sits in the block? Indentations for the bearing shells towards exhaust ports.

this is hard to explain. The rod is in right,the rod cap goes to the right rod,does the e on the rod cap face the front or is it on backwards

Take the cap off and look for the bearing tab indentation. Put the cap on the rod with cap and rod indentation on the same side. However the casting mark ends up after you do this is right.

Dont worry about the "E" not all caps even have them, the tabs on the rods where the bearing shells sit, both go on the same side so that they are facing each other, after that they both face the front of the block.
