I was trying to take off the top bolt to install my feedline, and the whole filter twisted with the bottom bolt. I was stupid and didnt have the wrench on the bottom one, while turning the top. Can this be re-flaired or is there a filter to tank kit? STM sells the whole kit $219 but I obviously only need filter to tank. God this is why you need to be patient with things :banghead::banghead:

You are trying to find a new line nut? Why you have one already. Just cut the bad part of the of the nut and push it out.

oh it looks like one piece. Maybe you can just knock it out, I will have to look. I'm just upset I was stupid about this

I fixed mine when i did the same thing the first year i owned my DSM with a piece of hard fuel line, a double sided compression coupler and a flaring tool.. Any experienced mechanic should be able to guide you through what you need to fix it...sadly parts stores aren't hiring smart people any more, only "cheap people" so best of luck finding a guy to point you to everything you need.. It's a shame to see what the world has come to even in things as small as this... one of the ways i got t alot of the knowledge i have is the parts store guys when i was a young guy were smart and they would guide you through repairs like this and you'd learn and then pass that knowledge on yourself.. now everythings about as much proffit as possible and hiring the cheapest help that doesn't question authority in the workplace

ever see the movie "Idiocracy" ??? sad to say i think that's the real future we have in store for ourselves.. (i'm glad to have not had children yet at this point LOL)

sorry to rant but i did say how to fix it. I just get so aggrivated that basic knowledge like fixing this is probably not available anywhere but on forums to the younger guys these days, thus breeding (or dumbing down) the population by forc of the almighty dollar (not saying anyone is dumb buit i think you all catch my drift)

In my endeavors to find a new job i put in an app at autozone just to cover all the bases. And i could not believe the questions they had to test automotive knowledge. What impressed, or should i say horrifies me even more, is knowing that %80-90 of the people they hire (at least here) had to have almost completely flunked those knowledge tests. I just don't know how you can be so retarded about something that is your job.

Do i expect you to be able to tell me how to change my headgasket? No, but dear lord i would hope that the parts guy knows the difference between MLS and composite. I found out the hard way that most don't. Just plain sad.
