Yeah I ended up just ordering a straight hose end, it looks much smaller than the 45 degree fitting so hopefully I can get away with just using one straight and one 45 degree. I'll update with pictures if I get it on okay. I really can't clock the center section any more otherwise I'll have issues with the intercooler piping which is an even bigger problem LOL.

It's a few weeks out and still getting things together on the side, but we plan on making some 3/4" push on fittings/hose for oil drain- turbo and pan side. Perhap a nice solution but also would hate for it to push your install out further.

Angled a bit off the turbo to direct it more towards the pan fitting (and better clear a 1g motor mount bracket with larger frame/longer CHRA), and as large diameter as possible while still using a (drilled out 3/4" if desired) factory oil pan. Essentially what we've been doing on all of our cars, but a more refined "kit."

Well I'll try the new fitting I have on the way, if that doesn't work then I might have to wait for yours while I finish up everything else left on the build.

@MorrisonFab @black97spyder @1990TSIAWDTALON @llxkevinxll Hey guys, quick question for you. Have you guys kept an eye on your coolant temps with link? I took my car out for the first drive today and my tuner said my temps are on the high side (around 210ish). We were catching a lot of red lights but regardless the car eventually ended up hitting 219F. He turned on the heater and the temps started dropping pretty quickly because we started moving too. Any suggestions?

Generally a fan issue, but that should be a separate thread.

In traffic, I have found that keeping under hood temps down however possible helps keep the whole system cooler. Aluminum radiators SOAK UP heat. Wrap what you can and duct for cool air with a really good fan, no ebay crap.

Stock fan on the passenger side and stout 12" on the driver side?

Glad to hear it made its maiden voyage on the new setup!

We threw in an aluminum radiator with two slim fans, we couldn't make the stock fan work on the passenger side.

Two slim 12 inch fans but I think the main problem is that my car has AC so it could just be the condensor causing my issues. Is it okay to use a manifold blanket on this manifold? I'm going to be using a turbo blanket, hopefully that helps at least a little. I would like to just get the manifold ceramic coated but trying to avoid that until winter.

It was nice to finally have it out, the one pull we managed to do was absolutely insane. I think the boost control solenoid may have an issue but it went all the way up to 33psi before opening the wastegate, we were expecting it to open at 21psi and just run off of the wastegate springs but we'll get that sorted out tomorrow.

What he said. The quality of the fan(s) matters considerably here. I have unfortunately only made it to one autocross this year but the car with a Mishimoto X-Line and the Morrison Fab setup maintained 190-195F using a single SPAL 12" on the passenger side. The ambient temps were very warm. Mid 80s. And the event was packed so the time between runs was pretty long. The car had no issues keeping temperatures in check. Anecdotal evidence of course, but might get you going down the right path. Get at least one quality fan on there and see how it goes.

Yeah I'm thinking of ordering one of the SPAL fans that was recommended to me by Morrison, hopefully that helps. My tech used Mishimoto fans that flow 1150cfm, they were a lot easier to get here and we thought they'd be just as good as the SPAL.

I tried running a single Mishimoto fan. It did not go well. Switching made a world of difference, at least for me. Give it a shot.

SPAL to keep it cool. I couldn't fit my stock fan on my setup, even on the passenger side. Grabbed my other DSM's Mitsumoto X with 1 SPAL puller and 1 SPAL pusher. I am sure they will treat this 2nd car just as good as the one I pulled it out of.

Sounds good. I'm going to order two SPALs and go from there

Well just thought I'd update you guys, we put one SPAL 30101504 and it made a HUGE difference. No more temp issues so far, waiting for a hotter/humid day to really give it a test. And so far we just have one on the passenger side, I'd like to try to find a way to put one on the driver's side as well but I don't think this model will fit there with my aluminum radiator. Gave it a little mild tune for now on just 94 pump gas on 25 psi and 6 degrees of timing. Loving this setup so far. Going to add a catch can and meth and go for 30psi soon.

This is what I use for Maximum cooling.
The 1581 is a pusher and the 0999 is a puller.

Unfortunately most of my issues come from the fact that I decided to keep my AC. I don't believe there is any way for me to fit a pusher with the condenser right in front of the rad. For now I'm going to try to find a slightly slimmer SPAL fan for the driver's side and ceramic coat the manifold.

Good luck fitting one in that doesn't melt. You may have more room than me as my turbo frame is bigger than stock.
That is a MitsumotoX with two 12" fans. I doubt that pusher would fit with the a/c condenser also. Maybe push thru the condenser???

Oh good idea, I should run that by my tech and see what he thinks. I hadn't thought of that but I think that would help the AC and the engine temps.

If there is room, I would sure give it a try! Slim fans are about 3 1/2" thick usually.
