I'm looking to eventually get ECMlink but I saw that they don't sell a cable with it. Don't you need that cable to be able to hook it up to a computer to choose which fuel map to use? sorry I'm new to this if I'm asking any stupid questions. I have a 95 gsx 5 speed.

http://www.ecmtuning.com/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=36 scroll down to the selection that says "GM MAF cable (if needed):" says you can't buy them do not order..

You're not trying to run a GM MAF are you? If you are, honestly just skip it and run a 2G MAF. If you're trying to vent your BOV, go speed density. Skip the GM MAF altogether.

If you're not trying to run a GM MAF, then you don't need the cable. The cable that connects from your computer to the car is the OBD-II cable/ECMLink cable that is included in every kit.

I don't even know I'm a noob. I just assumed that is the cable you need to change the fuel maps or does it already come with one?

I think you're confusing the GM MAF cable with the programming cable, two completely different things.

The logging/programming cables are clearly available http://www.ecmtuning.com/product_info.php?cPath=26&products_id=42

oh okay yes I was confused. Sorry it's my first time looking into it. Previous owner said he built the motor and tranny and it just needs ecmlink, bigger injectors, and fuel pump. Believe it has an electronic boost controller in it already and a 16g.

Agreed.

Also OP, don't scare me like that. I was like "crap! I hope ECMTuning isn't about to stop selling their kits now too!"
LOL yeah I wouldn't be surprised if they do that though after seeing almost all the options for built transmissions is gone except for a dogbox which I'm not looking forward to buying for a street car. I wonder how much hp this transmission rebuild can handle http://www.teamrip.com/dsm-transmissions/ mine is only a stage 2 rebuild what the previous owner told me so probably won't be able to handle past 400 hp. I'm trying to get 600-800 hp one day but I hate how loud the dogbox is. I might get one and try to insulate the hell out the car
