I'm looking at a stroked 2.0 and today my mechanics at a reputable performance shop are going to open it up to make sure it has what he claims is in there. We took off the valve cover and so far we've seen arp head studs and titanium valves and retainers. My biggest concern is the internals, how can I tell if (besides taking the word of the mechanic) that these internals are mahle/wiseco? Will they be labeled or do they just look different? Appreciate the info.

Wiseco will have the numbers on the crown of the pistons.

In the second pic down, you will be able to see some of the dot stamped part number

Also notice the rods, those are H-beam style

In this one, the first pic is stock rods and pistons, stock rods are I-beam design.

You will have to pull the oil pan to check the rods.

There are aftermarket rods that are also I beam design.

Really, titanium valves? I am pretty sure you only saw titanium retainers since titanium valves are incredibly expensive and extremely rare. If you're pulling the pan off you'll be able to see the manufacturers name on the side of the rod. You will also notice arp rod bolts in almost any aftermarket rod.

I saw the same thing in the org. post, I just surmized that he had ment Stainless Steel.
