I am currently in the process of swapping an Evo 3 intake manifold into my Spyder GST and figured I would share the solution I found for plugging the unused factory anti-lag port on the manifold.

I found Mitsubishi part# MB001261 to be the solution. I believe it is a transfer case drain plug which also comes with a corresponding copper crush washer. This plug and crush washer paired with a single 16mm flat washer (obtainable in a 2-pack from either Lowe’s or Tractor Supply) worked perfectly to plug this port.

The Mitsubishi bolt is an M16 - 1.5 x 13mm

I included pictures of the hardware I used, along with the intake manifold port in question.

I'm looking at buying one of these for my Spyder any other things that need to be changed or modified for install?
Yes, since you won’t be using an EGR valve, you won’t need your factory MDP sensor anymore. If you’re running ECMLink you can use the now free MDP input and and an adapter to log a MAP sensor instead (or something else).

You’ll also need to figure out how you’re going to mount your ignition coils and the ignition transistor. Your factory 2G solution won’t work with the EVO 3 intake manifold anymore. I used the bracket from RTM for this.

Also, the EVO 3 intake manifold has a 60mm throttle body opening (same as a 1G) as opposed to the 2G’s 52mm throttle body. So, with that being said, you’ll need a 1G throttle body. When you get it, swap your 2G TPS onto it.

To install, the manifold itself is bolt on if your car has a 2g 7 bolt cylinder head. But like it's mentioned above if you don't have the coil pack bracket that fits with the early EVO/RVR intake manifold, you may need to relocate the coil pack and PTU to somewhere and that may require longer spark plug wires.

This block off is required if you haven't blocked off the EGR port on your cylinder head and if the intake manifold is from EVO 3.
It doesn't require if you have already blocked off the EGR port on your cylinder head or if the intake manifold is from EVO 1/2 or RVR/Chariot since they don't have the secondary air system port.
