i read a post where a guy was saying that people were putting the exhaust cam one tooth clockwise of being lined up when you do a timing belt can increase power and alot of people did it but he did no want to do that much because he wanted to be more emission friendly and he didn't the one full tooth was necessary so he used the oposite side of the gear and had drilled a hole 175 or 185 degrees so that he was half a tooth further clockwise and sayed it was for sure the best free mod he had done and i was wondering if anyone has tried this or know of where i can find this post again because i am in the process of putting a 6 bolt together and i figured i would like to do it while it was out.

and i am not positive he had it to far clockwise but i was pretty sure(someone please confirm this is the way i wanna go)

:beatentodeath: (i love this pic even though it serves no purpose to this thread)

Not to stray too far OT, but this post might get the award for highest word to puncuation ratio... :rocks:

Wow, the brilliance of some people amazes me sometimes. I can't believe in this, the day and age of modern education and technology, people can STILL not speak english well.

These guys get gold stars for the day.

Sorry I am just a low life dirty greasy uneducated mechanic, please teach me how to drink tea properly too. I don't see much reason when I can get my point across without proper punctuation.

All other points aside as well as it being a forum rule, it will definitely get you more quality responses because people don't have to read it three times. When I see a thread like this, I usually skip right over it.

It's not about knowledge, perfection, or drinking tea. It's about the effort put forth. Anyone that can post on the internet or can read at all knows that periods seperate sentences. Not to mention you've had 1240+ posts worth of practice. Your lack of effort will be returned in the replys you get. ;)

Now that that is behind us, I don't see the point behind this. The only point there ever was in upgrading to adjustable cam gears was to have adjustment to get things working the way you want on your car. Having a "different" setting that is fixed and may or may not be ideal or even advantageous for your setup and needs seems to me to be a crap shoot at best. But if you think this is worth trying, just do it. :)

And we don't see much point in wasting our time on you.
