Someone on the thread said depends if the springs are old or not, the car has been sitting for a long time before i bought it and if i end up getting the BC cams i think its just better to replace the springs as well. I would rather figure out what springs work and do it correctly than risk bending valves and having to do the whole process againYou may or may not have to, it's a tough call with springs. 272s are right at the general limit and while it sucks because it's harder to replace them while the head is still on, there are tricks to do so. If that's not an issue then I just wouldn't risk stock springs with 272 ramp rates personally.

Sorry I couldn’t remember that you said that . But the BC cams that I might plan to go with are BC0101 with the BC0100 springsYeah, me
Any aftermarket spring or the Evo8s will work with 272s. Once you really get up there, and especially above 280 like 284 or even higher, you'll want an crazier spring like a dual.
Anecdote, I still have stock cams but my springs were 30 years old, so BC0100s like Marty posted above is what I ended up putting in even just for peace of mind. I'd like a set of 264s or 272s though.. just have to pace my spending.
So which ones would be good the stage 2 or 3. And does the stage 3 have lope at idle as well like the 2?If you are running BC cams, why not run BC springs?

Their NEW Stage 3 cams say that they REQUIRE the BC0100 Springs.

Ohh so what about if im running a 20g turbo? That all depends on various factors. If you’re running something like a 16g you wouldn’t want to go beyond the 272’s, if we’re talking stock turbo then you’re not ready to be swapping cams yet, if we’re talking a 600+ horsepower big turbo configuration then something in the 280 ballpark would make sense.
Okay it wouldn’t matter if I just put BC springs and the BC0101On a 20g I’d opt for the 272’s personally.
Ohh okay thanksYes, I should have clarified, my reference was in regards to BC’s duration listing, brands like to list off duration but for example while BC, HKS, and Kelford reference a 272 duration they’re all different cams with different specs overall from each other.
