ECMlink High Idle and High Timing

Hey guys,

This is my first attempt at tuning so bare with me I drive a 1g Talon AWD I recently fitted my car with new injectors, a new exhaust manifold, a small 16g and a catless exhaust. Today i began to tune to the car, I'm fairly new at this so I went through the basic tutorials. Before tuning I noticed at idle, my timing values were above 20, and reached well over 30 while driving around. After I tuned MafComp I noticed these values were still the same. My idle also sits at 1200 despite having it set at 900. My car also feels like its sputtering when I let up from the accelerator as well. Are these things related? What's causing this and how do i fix it? I tried searching around to no avail. Thanks guys, I apologize if I'm just understanding things wrong.

Your timing looks like it should. Look at your direct access-tmngmaxoct and that should clear that up for you. Your airflowper rev is too low. Your hz being about 600 go into your maf comp and raise your 600 slider. Right now it has a huge spike down making your airflowperrev low. remember to try and smooth those points out. Also I would try to simulate idle switch in your ecu config. rpm/tps.

Hope this helps. I'm pretty new to link also and never done any tuning with gm maf. The more you use it the easier it gets.

Thanks 97_4g63t, I was worried about timing mostly. I figured out I didnt have the idle switch box checked off so that was my idle problem right there.
