i do use the search button. as i stated. plus everyones car is dif that has idle issues. just tryin to get an idea on where to start not just get told to search

There is a screw between the TB and the intake manifold, Tighten it up while at idle when warm..My GSX has the egr still there and does this, but mine idles when warm at like 900. Tomarrow I will put a plate on the EGR and see if It does this, and let you know...OK? But still try the screw.

You're talking about the BISS screw as mentioned above. Plus when you do this you should shut your car off, adjust the screw, turn the car back on, and adjust as necessary, otherwise the ECU will get in the way of what you're trying to do.

I hate idle problems. And sorry boostedinthe843 My idle on my car is all screwed up to & Ive just ran across tons of threads about this issue so that's the only reason why i said search.

Vfaq has a good write ups on idle problems.

yeah keep me posted on that. and the proper way to adjust a biss screw is to ground out your ecu, and adjust when the car is running. unground then the ecu adjusts for the adjustments you have made

O 4 SHO!!!!!!

I put on the EGR blockoff plate, And It didn't make any changes to how my car idles....

Do a boost leak test and use a lot of soapy water to see if you have any leaks. Spray the soapy water into the biss screw also because the o-ring behind it is probably worn out, which is why it won't change your idle when you turn it. Also, adjust it as I said in my previous post. (car off car on)

If setting the BISS correctly as well the mechanical stop plate doesnt work.. and timing etc is good.. you've got an air leak behind the TB.
