high hp daily driven car

I have 1990 gsx. My supporting mods are: Se Srp Pistons, hks 272 cams, sheet metal intake, i kept the 1g big rods but added arp bolt's, 255 pump, 1250cc fic blue max injectors, precision sc44 turbo, tial 35mm waste gate, stock 1g bov crushed, fmic short route, stage 3 trans, stage 3 clutch, 4 bolt rear end, straight 3 inch exhaust, sheet metal intake, titanium valve springs, 3 angle valve job. Also have aem wideband, boost gauge, oil pressure gauge, eprom with chip made from ostrich and on board data logger. Im looking to get about 500hp.

My question is would I be ok with the car as my daily driver if I dont beat on it or race it at the track? Reason I ask is because i recently got into a accident and totaled out my daily driver.

Also would like to know if any one else has a high hp car as there daily driver? If so have you ran into any problems?

I had an impossible time keeping belts intact. First it was the PS, then A/C, then ALT, replace and they snapped again... Once you start changing everything under the hood, computer, suspension, you name it you have to expect that stuff is going to break. Does that make it a good DD? I think that's pretty subjective because even our cars in stock form break down.
BTW mine is "red" headed mistress and she gets beat like I wish I could beat my wife at times...

That sucks. I left my 1g unlocked at all times. My honda buddies were always blown away by that. Although, my car was badged as a gs, nobody wants to steal a gs 1g ...little did they know...

If it's put together with quality parts your fine. Don't try to max drivetrain parts out tho. I tried to dd my Gst with 350-400 whp and broke my new act 2100. That's my fault tho.

One of my cars (06' sti), Made 713awhp and still has all the mirrors, lisence plate, ETC... I have daily driven the car without any problems. It all depends how well your build is, And how much money you have in your bank account for '' just incase something happens'', Time.

damn ok ok. I used all pretty good parts my total engine build parts and labor was almost 5000. I dont plan on beating on it till i get another car. This was a project car that I intended to race at the track, but now have to use as a daily driver due to an accident I got into. Im aware of beating on it at the track eventually things will break. I was just more concerned because I have a 80 mile a day trip back and forth to work.

Just don't abuse the engine everyday and you'll be fine. Make sure you keep up with maintenance though. That's most important

seems like most of the problems are vac leaks and tranny issues?

i have a stage 3 trans and the system was pressure tested to 30psi with no leaks
