when I installed my hid's I drilled a hole so the red and black wires from the bulb can pass thru and connect to the ballast. From the ballast there are those 2 tabbed wires which you see in your second pic which one(black) one will be grounded somewhere( I cut the end off and stipped the rubber off so the wire was exposed and wrapped it around a screw i found near the strut tower and tightened it in there(i know its a little ghetto but eh LOL) and for the other red wire i just clipped it into the power wire female plug since you have the male one, it should just slide in and thats it. If they dont turn on the first time or they make clicking noises then you most probably have the clip backwards, the one that goes into the ballast. good luck
