I cracked my stock fuel rail and bought a venom fuel rail as a replacement. I have the return line in but the stock fuel pressure regulator won't go on and I don't have an AFPR. Do I need an AFPR? Can you run with just an AFPR and not the stock fpr? What would happen of I didn't have a fpr at all?

youd be fuct

get something like : Aeromotive 13129

You dont need both and afpr and a stock fpr, just use an aftermarket afpr and be done with it. You have the stems the rail sits on right to space it out when you bolt it down on the head they should be 3 machined spacers that the bolts go through to the rail and the head?

Hey, I have this same fuel rail in a parts bin and I’m about to go bigger injectors, did you happen to figure out the install?

It’s straightforward, you’ll need the correct fitting on the return side to run a line to the adjustable regulator as the stock one will not work with this (covered above), a line with the proper fitting for the feed side, and you’ll also need the spacers that go with it. If you don’t have the spacers with it forget it, as it’d be more headache to make some to work opposed to just running the stock rail that would likely never be an issue.

Stock rail is good for something like 9's in the 1/4 or equally ridiculous. Unless it's literally cracked in half like in the OP's post and you absolutely cannot find a stock replacement(doubtful), I see no reason to upgrade unless you just want the bling factor. In which case hey, you do you boo-boo.

I have the afpr but guessing I don’t have said spacers unless they’re hiding in my boxes, which is a possibility. Thank you for the quick response.

Roger that. It came with the car when I bought it 3 years ago and just now getting into more power. Might just sell it, we’ll see. It’s a nice color purple tho LOL
