3G Fuel rail

I just swapped out a 2.0L non turbo, I had to replace many sensors as the plugs were different, then I got to the fuel rail and hooked up the fuel line I noticed something that I didn't see before, the engine I put in the fuel rail has a return line but the old one just has a cap. Can I just plug off the return line or do I have to swap out the fuel rail?

its not a 3g fuel rail. its a 2gnt rail. the 95 and probably 96 too, have the fuel rail with the return

I know the difference, my question is can I block it off? I did block it off and it seems to be fine bUT I have the other rail just incase.

Yes you can block off the return line. I personally would change the rail, capping the line off would be a potential leak.

sorry i didn't read your post completely. i just assumed since you said 3g rail, that you didn't know shlt.

just swap the rails that way you don't have to ffuck with blocking off the return port and have to worry about it leaking.
