Well, i've een wanting another camera mount since usingmy last one as parts for another project.
this one isn't finished, the cross bar holding the camera and joining the mounts that clampo to the head rest is temporary until i can make another but it's christmas eve and i want to test it on lights and stuff i ride and look at tonight to see if i should finish it with a sturdy cross bar
the clamps are universally built to clamp to any bar rouhly 10mm in diameter and they can spread to a variety of widths form each other to fit many vehicles
here's a few pics of the rough product... a new sturdy cros bar will make it look nice and steady it out a lot. I've made a lot of cam mounts for other bikers in the past so it's nothing new and this is nothing fancy, just hope it works ok for lights tonight
My only real complaint is unles you spend a ton of money you can't find a decent locking swivel ball on a tripod, they all vibrate loose and flop all over, i've modified this one with an extra set screw to hold the cam-locking mechanisim tighter and allow it to clamp better so hopefully it doesn't pull a fish out of water move on me and have a siezure during filming

here's the over all and you can see the slot where the clamps can slide... there's also a piece of a tripod to allow a good fix on whatever angle/view you want, this should work out ok, i'm just learyof th flimsy bar it rests on for tonight
these clamps will tighten on the posts for the head rest and then there's 10mm bolts inthe back to tighten them up tho the main bar.. from there you can tighten and move the tri-pod part to a few different places and use it's picot ball to get different angles
better view of clamps
and here's the tripod part allowing a precise fix on the view desired (noticve the hose clamps where i tried to sturdy up the peice of scrap i'm using for the bar untill i finish milling the main one i'm gonna use from some 1 x 1 " aluminum stock
well, gotta rest before we go, enjoy!
EDIT; here's pics of it mounted up neatly with the camera on it, i'l have real footage soon when i go to the store after i charge the camera from going out christmas light filming
