Well, I've been making stuff all weekend, but i can't find my camera to take any pics. I started off with the sweet a$$ tubular O2 housing/DP combo I built for a friends mx3 (IHI turbo with no exh flange available commercially just a boxy cast o2 housing) so i had to plama cut the flange out then face the surface with a fly cutter And then divide the inside of the turbine housing from the wastegate area so it just wasn't dumping exhaust out the external dump tube full time... I was really proud of that, burned up the first defective new plasma cutter i've ever seen in the first 10 minutes LOL

But once i got that one wswapped out and finished his car I got to wrk on mine today and came up with a low mount battery tray that is ROCK SOLID ANd uses a clamping system similar to a ford V8 vehicle, but i have a piece of strap that goes across the top just for thetech guys at the track becuase it sits so nice and tucked , and you really cna't see the clamping system that's really7 doing the work. Then after that i tool a piece of diamond plate AL, free hand cut a shape of the MSD DIS-2 out of it with enough extra flange to mount it up on the firewall where the OEM battery ground wire connected ( you 2g guys now the blt LOL )

THe battery tray actually bolts to the transmission, then has a softer enforcement tab that goes to the body (but it really isn't needed) But i'm so proud of how this one came out i'm going to do a production run of about 10 of them incase any other 2g guys want a GOOD low mount front battery for their car that doesnt' just rely on "sitting" on the trans and cross member I want to have a few to get rid of. I guess it's mainly for us GS-T guys where rear batteries hurt more than help. and the one thing i wanted to do but didn't get to because this chic i know came to get me for a motorcycle ride was to mount the nitrouse lines :( That's all i got to do (and change TB elbows), but maybe next weekend, now i've got so much house cleaning to do it's pittifull... As soon as i find the camera I WILL get pics up , the mazda stuff the owner tok pics of and is supposed to email them to me.... BUt it sucks knowing you accomplished a lot of cool things and can't even show anyone LOL LOL

WEll, lets try this again, My PC rebooted from the camera which is something i thought i solved a while back *scratches head*

Wel here's some pics, The first one is of the O2 housing flange i had to make for the DP on a customers MX3 (thing is pretty damn quick!!!! now that it can make and hold boost)

The next ones show the new battery tray and the bolt on the tranny side (can't see the 2nd one on the x-member area) Then there's some shots of the firewall where i moved teh AFPR way down low and to the right (lefft in pic) of the brake booster (it was on the other side and up top), also you cna see the catch can has been hidden down on the lower firewall area as well and of course there's a few overall shots showing the new DIS-2 location (it USE to be where the stock air filter was but kept getting oily and dirty too easy) Where you can see one of my oder square catch cans and the new small size over-flow tank (it's a 2 catch can system plus an Aluminum overflow 3 in total)

Then the reason this fits in the fab area more than just a regular forum is that i have pics of my lathe on it's new "compact table" and the box off tooling and attachments underneath. The mill head cannot be seen.

Then there's my hole by the garage door where i fed the 50 amp power for the garage and plasma, and you can see the air line that comes from the same hole through the basement ceiling (you can't even hear the compressor kick on upstairs :D ) There's also a few shots of what seems to be a tiny little palsma cutter but it will cut 1/2 perfect, 3/4'' decently and sever up to 1'' total thickness in aluminum, SS, and mild steel (the manual says it's "adaptive".., must be because i've never seen one rated the same thickness at the same amps on all 3 metals) The 2 pictures of the torch show the circle cutting jig i bought because i was in too much of a hurry to make one that day and then all the bare aluminum stiking on the front of it is for the 4' x 4' CNC plasma table i'll be building here very soon :) I'm lucky to have a friend that's a computer whiz for the strat-com center here and can do about anything on a PC :)

Well, I think that's enough descriptions, now as long as i can get them in the order to match the text LOL

Killa DSM... Thanks... positive feedback on the stuff i make is what keeps driving me to make more.. If you want a low mount battery box the same one i make for the 2gFWD will fit your AWD, it's cheap and bolts to the tranny and holds the battery secure enough that i've challenged 2 people to lift the battery out and they couldn't do it... Sure beat having it bounce around and get a hole knocked in it (not to mention you won't pass tech with a loose battery in the engine bay at any decent track... PM me if you want me to whip you one together.

95greeGSX... I'm running the old-school turbonetics cast unit with external WG port... When i took my aprenticeship in turbo building at majestic turbo, the old owner (Kevin Drapen) did me a huge solid and ordered in a tial 38 and the t-netics mani for me so that when i got there he told me after my 2 weeks of learning i could build my own turbo and take it home and gave me the WG and mani at his cost so i could hook it up when i got back too :) he was really a great guy, but after wrecking his bike (The majestic Screaming eagle turbo model) the hadlebar pieced his heart after going through his chest and he sold the business to some greedy ass guy that had no respect for past customers or even new people when it came to being respectfull and working a deal, so now i don't even shop, call or visit there anymore *cough-asshole-cough* LOL

I just got a set of ITB's from a honda 600RR and although a little small, the total surface area of the butterfly valves is still larger than the 1g TB i'm running now so i might give them a try after putting a plenum over them and see what happens :) the main reason i want to use a set of streetbike TB's is due to the fact that they have an extra rail and some small injectors that i can use for idle and light cruise so i don't even ahve to open up the 1000's until i'm apraoching boost :)

Here's some pics of some stuff i did this weekend... Made the IC piping for this car, the DP and it's flange were custom made here at my house (atmospheric dump on an internally gated turbo :D and wired up the stand alone (megasquirt) This is a mazda Familia engine coupled to a mx3 n/a trans in an early mazda MX-3...this car hauls a$$ although the turbo is smaller the mods and porting that i did to it really helped the car come alive and this thing roasts tires through third gear on only 15 psi and pulls strong all the way to 7k now thanks to opening up a new restrictions in the turbo and intake tracts :)

Looks good as usual man. Keep up the good work! Cant wait to see some more projects be posted up.

What exhaust mani are you using on your car?

Defiant, No worries... The first thing i thought when i saw your post was "did i spell the as 'teh' AGAIN?" LOL LOL
