First off, I did search and could not seem to find the same issue that I have. I recently installed FMIC, AFPR, and 720cc FI. I remember that the first time when I fired it up, it started right up and stay in high RPM (which I think it's normal for cold start). Then, I got everything tuned with DSMLink 2.5 and it was running fine.

Then the next day, I tried to start a car and it would take me like 4-6 cranks before it fired up (temperature ~50F). It would start up fine after the engine is warmed up. But everytime, when I leave a car for awhile, it would take so many cranks (with a little bit of tap on the gas pedal) before I could it to fire up. What I found though, when it first starts up, the RPM would not go up as it did in the past. It only stays at the idle RPM (750).

So, I don't know if this has something to do with the thing (don't know what to call) that helps keep RPM high during the cold start. I feel like there is nothing to compensate the engine to fire up.

Any idea what could cause this or the steps I should take to troubleshoot it.

Thanks.

The FIAV in the throttle body could cause this if its not opening. I recently deleted mine due a continuing idle surge but now it starts a little rough and will barely idle without it. Once it warms up as you mentioned it runs great.
Just my .02 cents

That sounds exactly like what I'm experiencing. I have to play with the gas pedal to keep it idle. Is there anyway to check if it goes bad?

I have the same problem! If I touch the accelerator before letting it sit and warm up, it dies immediately. Does your car do that too?? I read somewhere that its a problem with the coolant temperature sensor?
