That looks like a sweet project car. I never really liked the 1g DSM bodies but your old silver Talon looks beautiful. I'm sure you're going to kick out some eyeballs with the new one. What color scheme are you planning on going with on this ride?

yeah no doubt, an awesome ride for sure. That was your yellow dsm??? sweet!! I want to paint mine yellow now! I wouldn't like the seat personally, but thats your thing. Rock on man! You've shown your style, and I applaud you for making your car YOURS! I wanna see pics when you get this one done!

As for the roll cage, I can see what he's saying. I'd check to be certain that you got it right. You don't want to mess around with your own safety!

the color was Light Chrome Yellow, its a mixing color.

thanks bro! The color is Black Sapphire, it's like black cherry , but with blue instead of red. its off of the new 360 modena. thats the reason im running chrome Staggered 17x9.5 rear and 17x8 front Enkei's, i think its gonna look really clean. I have the RX-7 16x8 wheels with slicks for the track. The race seat is for the track , not everyday driving.

thanks for all the compliments, ill post painted pics SOON , its the FIRST thing getting done before the motor goes in.

as for the cage , we went by the NHRA books on all aspects of the cage , Custom Craft has been doing cages for 30+ years and ALWAYS goes by the book, if not theres no sense in even doing it.

Mmmm, i love busa's. Definately post some pics and keep us updated on the progress of your new car. It looks like it will be quite a machine once it's completed. :thumb:

P.S. 92awddsm, that is a very clean, and well done cage. It looks amazing. :thumb:

Like I said, your ass, not mine. How it is supported is up to you.

Thanks. The car will once again be complete and running next week. I have to have it done by Tuesday because I will be picking up Thomas's car that afternoon and taking it to my shop for a rering job. Hopefully, he will be riding before the weekend. :thumb:

Cool, maybe i'll see you at one of team trinity's events. Glad to hear that you are helping Thomas to get everything running right again. Hopefully my 95 will be running again soon and tuned via DSMLink.

wel, i started on the interior i got all of it in but the rear......... its starting to look like a car again! the carpet fit around the cage GREAT !!!!!! only 1 slit in each corner and it wrapped around great! ill get some pics up tmrw!

im going to work on the back half this weekend, i have to cut out the rear floor for the fuel cell, get the carpeting done ( no rear seat ), and get all the wiring back there ( 0ga pwr) for the fuel system and cut-off switch.. Also ditching the power steering and blacking out the motor cavity , should have all that done this weekend. Good thing i've already done this on my last talon , takes all the guess work out of where to do all of the cutting.

Very nice car, goodluck with it. I myself just decided to dabble in the DSM world.

Seems to be running decently on a small 16G, but its built to take whatever I throw at it. ;)

it shouldnt take very long, already done it once on the talon so i know where im going on this one, second time just flys by.

heres the pics of the cage painted and interior almost all in : notice how well the mounts fit the carpet, they did a great job on the cage.
