It's looking good Greg, I hope you get plenty of cooling for everything.
Is that a new front valence or the same one you ran last year.

Tom

It's the same one from last year with some major fiberglas repair on the passenger side (where I hit the wall). Then I took about four inches out of the top of the center opening to give some major air to the new FMIC. I think I should have success:sneaky:

Once it's repainted I think it'll look pretty aggresive too...OMG

Sorry, nap time is over.

I got nothing to do until my next feeding and since I'm not permitted to work on my stuff right now I'll do my best Paul Sr. imitation and supervise. :)

L&K

Steve

Well I edited: and added another picture up-top, showing the front view with the I/C installed and the lower valence support tray that I fabricated last night.

Mitch was pulling his hair out dealing with some issue with the Oliver rods but has since got it under control. He's finished with the head and quite proud of it, and when Mitch likes something it's gotta be better than anything that we know on this planet. He's very detail oriented almost down to the sub-atomic partical... I like that in an engine builder:rocks: He told me if I messed the head up he would hunt me down and put me out of my misery OMG

It's back to the garage... I was just informed my break is up!!

Greg

Got some pictures of engine internals from Mitch. The motor should go together next week on the road toward the 2006 season... Looking good!!!:thumb:

Short of becoming a heroin addict this is resting for me.

Steve

I realize it's almost 11 PM here in Calif right now, so what is it... almost 2 AM in IL OMG

Go read a service manual ROFL ROFL... :barf:

:toobad:

Greg, I was wondering what kind of engine oil you used for racing? I currently use Castrol Syntec in my car but was curious as to what's worked good for you with the demnds of road racing.

Red Line 40wt. racing oil (all-synthetic formula) changed after every race... very expensive :shhh:

OMG

I can't quite swing the cash for a new car right now, thanks.

If I really need a nap I can pull out an old thermodynamics or organic chem book. Long term stupor can be induced by the sight of a Windows programming guide.

Thanks for your posts Greg, they're insperational! My goal this year is for my 2G to survive a HPDE (I have a lot of gremlins)

Do you have a current mods list? What oil cooler are you running? I'm in the market for one. Also the 57mm PWR radiator, is that the one PWR lists on their site for DSMs or is it custom?

Good luck with your race season!

Glad to see you running HPDE, you'll have a blast! I use a "Canton" oil filter... As far as my mods go: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/member.php?u=15378 all of the motor and turbo stuff will be updated shortly. I'm going to do a detailed modifications pictorial on my web site, coming up soon. www.gregcollier.com

The PWR 57mm is a custom radiator, all their cores come from Australia... (it's taking them close to 5 weeks to build it) OMG

Greg LOL

I just picked up a set of Hoosier Grand Am road racing slicks from a team that just ran the Rolex 24 hours at Daytona... How sweet it is :thumb:

Thanks... I have an offer from the head of NASA in Colorado to come race there this year plus one from the Mid West, we'll see if one of the sponsors want's to accommodate the expenses :sneaky:

Greg LOL

Greg, make sure you let us know if you make it to the midwest, I'd love to meet you and see your car in person.
