No bench racing intended!! :thumb:

Im hopefully going to have my car tuned by STM in a few days.
My question is.. With my setup, What would be a reasonable power range to aim for? And what would be a good psi to boost at?

Ps: This will be my daily driver

Lol that much power and that much boost your 7 bolt might not last too long if it's stock ... How about the head studs what do you have in there? If its stock head bolts the least I would do is trow arps in there if it doesn't have one before the tune just my advice, also what fuel pump to you have ?

Im not always going to be on this car hard. Its going to be my daily driver, but a DD that will eat almost anything that steps to it :D and Im pretty sure it has the Arp head bolts. Alot of this car was put together before I got it, It has a Walbro 255 fuel pump.

Agreed ^^^ just take some precautions that's all I say I wouldn't want your next thread being that you threw a rod out the block that would suck. I wish you best of luck bro post some numbers up when you get it tuned

When I take the cover off to check will I need to replace the gasket or could I reuse it?

Hell yea. That would not be cool at all :notgood:.. But yea when I go have it tuned Ill post the dyno sheet up for sure:thumb:

stay safe with your tune and keep that thing running forever! GL on your tune

Im going to go more conservative with the tune then I am with the extreme power. I know it will have a ton of power that way too..
As of right now its untuned and its got so much torque and power its crazy fast :sneaky:

I'm new to dsm and want a tune on my car how do I get started I have a 95 tsi with big 16g any help would be great

First get link. Then follow the demos on dsmlink.com. They are very helpful. You will need alot of things including a WB. Just do alot of reading on that site. Its not too difficult really. Now, getting a truly GOOD tune.. that is a skill.

OP: After reading your mods, i would guess 400whp is attainable. If not a little bit more. On 93. On e85 you might be near 500. Thing is, you dont say how much internal work youve had. Do you have a fresh rebuild? DO you have forged internals? Stock compression? ARP studs??
These are all very important to tell not only how much power you CAN make but how long your engine will last at said power. This is officially benchracing LOL.

Trade it for a gst or gsx! Seriously because you might squeeze 50hp out of your car and that's with more money than I have in bank and more time I care to waste on a gs

/facepalm you don't know what your talking about. In addition who cares what you consider a waste or what you have in YOUR bank. For all we know its a $1:rocks: The only thing you have right is that its going to cost money.
