gauge cluster

is is possible to remove the stock gauge cluster and just have a custom one placed inside with autometer gauges - will it effect anything?

im sure you could get it to work...just as long as you buy the right gauges and figure out a way to calibrate them properly.

There isnt no plug-n-play ones out there like that for DSM's , but that dont mean it cant be done.

i know its not plug and play, but i want to design my own cluster.. basically mold the gauges together to fit in the area... i mean getting the connections is easy.. tap the rpm signal wire, boost hose..etc... i think the speedo will be the only difficult one..

i know a shop that said they can fibre glass everything for me..

i'm just worried it anything bad can happen from removing the gauges.. like does the ecu read off any of them..or any other computers, etc read off them?
