it looks like they are the stock gauges with just blue lighting behind, im not sure if they changed the bulbs, did an led swap or what. Just looking for some insight please :hellyeah:

The cluster I just posted a pic of doesn't have any blue LEDs.

The problem with just replacing the stock bulbs with blue LEDs is that it makes the needles and red lettering look weird. IMHO, if you are going to do blue gauge faces, you really need to disassemble the cluster and rework it, so that everything looks like it was designed that way.

It's a hell of a lot more work, but I think the end result is well worth it.

Blue, White, whatever there just led's. :thumb:

Has anyone witnessed the end result of using the OEM white faced gauges like the ones that come in my 99 anniversary edition??? I'm wondering if i will need to remove my faces and do some sanding or are they a different transparency altogether??? It would be nice to not have to remove my needles and not guess and check to realign them.

That is an overlay. You can tell because the odometer still has the white lighting around it. If you want THAT exact overlay I have it at my house. Pulled it out as it came with the car and was wired all wrong. I made the switch to LED's also, so if you want the overlay I will sell it for dirt.

Just did mine the other week. Not perfect and I know what I would do different next time, but it works for me for the time being.

The 7k-8k is actually brighter than it looks in these pics.
