Gauge Cluster Question

searched but didnt find my answer. i took apart a donor gauge cluster and i want to move the mileage back to how many miles I have put on my car. so far on my tripometer i am around 600 miles. i want that to show on my new gauge cluster but i cant move the numbers back. i have it all part. just wanna see if anyone knows how to.

The only way to do it is just start turning the gears back. If that doesnt work then its probably not going to happen. Most manufacturers make it so you cant tamper with them and with some cars if you are able to roll them back then they are designed to never line up correctly again. Im not sure how it is in the eclipse though.

Yeah! There are reasons why you cant move it back. Reasons like selling and fraud purposes. I don't remember but if that runs on dc or ac current you can probably try to run it till it hit 999,999 miles and get to where you want it.:D
