Alright so I know this isnt really "dsm" but my gf has a 2000 dodge stratus with the 2.0 4cylinder. Just a few weeks ago she started having weird power surges (mainly seemed to be electrical) so I checked fuses and all seemed to be good. Next I figured the alternator, so I disconnected the positive cable for the jump point and it died. Boom def the alternator right? Wrong!? Brought it to AutoZone and Advanced and they both said it was good! Just thought maybe it was a fluke thing, put th bsvk on and nope same problem still! While I was at work one day she went to AutoZone and advanced to have her battery checked. She said "they told me it was good, but couldn't get a good reading" that being because you have to take off the pass front wheel etc to get to it. It is slowly but surely getting worse...for awhile now it has power surges and the gauges flicker and jump even more. I plan to check the battery myself once we get a warmer day, and check for corrosion and what not. I'm thinking it could be the PCM but don't really want it end up being that
. So I'm going to check the connection to it and clean it up and spray contact cleaner on it so maybe that's the prob? Any ideas on what it could be or what else I should check or if anyone else has this ghost problem ### share it!! This is the most frustrating thing ever!! PLEASE HELP!!!
Oh and battery light isn't always on, seems random to me!
