so when i drive my 96 talon awd it feels like the clutch is slipping really bad, like it can barely pull its own weight, well its a brand new clutch and flywheel so its not that, did a compression check, everything is fine there. also when i floor the gas rather than go into it gently the rpms fall all the way down by themselve, and it wont let me rev above about 3k rpm for a few seconds. i replaced plugs, plug wires. I am like wtf. Could it be the ignitor chip(power unit)? also when iremoved the plugs(brand new) they are completely black.any help, suggestion what to do will be apreciated, i am going to try your suggestions one by one until my cars fixed. thanks a lot!
 
Are they black and wet or dry? Dry means your running waaayyyy too rich. Your fowling the plugs really bad and the boost may be putting out the weak spark. Try checking your engine temp sensor make sure it is the one for the ECU not the gauge. Are you using a wideband to tune your fuel? Is the an adjustable regulator on your rail with that big fuel pump?
 
no cel, the plugs are black and dry, and engine temp sensor, is that the same as the 02 sensor? are you asking ifi have the primary and secondary sensors switched?

just reread your post, that sounds right because inthe lower rpms its not as bad as wheni build boost, so im going to try and source a power unit and coil. thanks for the help!!!
 
Getting a more powerful ignition is just going to mask up the problem for a while. The plugs are fowling from running too rich. Get your fuel under control. You really need an AFPR who ever told you that you didn't doesn't have a clue. There's multiple threads on people running rich with 255 pumps just search it. The pump is throwing you base pressure way above norm so the injectors are loading more fuel per cycle.

You can also check your plug gap.
