realising the gas pedal

ok, i have a auto rs-t and is it ok to realise the pedal once in a while or bfor it shift to 2nd or 3rd shift. the reason am asking this is bcuz sometimes i do realese the gas pedal. will this hurt my trans? or my shifting gear? please help.

I do this on my auto TSI forcing it to shortshift so I stay in the torque.

Shortshifting is different all together. I imagine you stomp it when it goes into the next gear right? If so then combustion fuels the cars momentum, not inertia. The pistons are driven up and down by small explosions in the chamber, its different on the motor if the wheels actually turning are propelling the stroke. When that happens it is HELL on the torque converter. Thats why people that race autos all the time get a stall. Its a MUCH better setup for a torque converter...

i was searching for some torque converter and the price is not bad. am planning to get one just to be safe.

and i might go a head and get a universal fit stiffy engine torque.
