Welding your flywheel bolts.. ever heard of loctite?

ya it is new on here but has been on the evom and other forums from the start of the build years ago


have you ever ran a twin plate they come lose even with red loctite. they were red loctited in the first time that lasted a whole 2 weeks before it came lose. all the the other locals that run the same set up loctite them in then tack them to the auto space also to make sure it will not come lose anymore.

I have a set of evo III front recaros on the way from japan will be here before x-mas also picked up a buddys h4 6k hids for cheap

New update. I went this to pick up the evo 3 seats from the post office. Got them put back together they were shipped in 3 boxes from japan. I ended up trading the sti turbo for them.

will get better pics later just used my phone could not find the charger for the camra

Are you giving the proper torque to the flywheel bolts and using 3m thread locker?

Mark isn't a noob. He knows what he is doing. If he says it needs tacked it needs tacked. He had an AWD spyder long before it was the cool thing to do. He built his Evo III from hand. The guy knows how to do things right.

my buddy Pete that has a 8g galant that I put the jdm front end on gave me his old HID kit for free. It is a CN Lights kit that all the locals run. It is only a h4 low beam but I could care less I dont use my hi beams at all. it is a 6k kit.
the kit I had the left side in already when I took a pic with the phone.

So I just picked up a set of rota boosts 17*8 and a set of all season 215-45-17 tires for 250.00 from a local that painted them 2 diffrent colors to see what he liked better then started to strip and repaint the other 2 but gave up. They will be droped off to a buddy to get blasted and powder coated black tonight. I will have them back in less than a week.

big thanks to ricer Pete for getting my tire put on last night after goodyear closed. got them all on just a few mins ago and they do look nice.

the evo III rims over time I have had it

1st up car bone stock when I got it for free. 4*100 steel's 13in with a few hub caps

free came on the car

2nd up the evo III 4*114 white 15in OZ's when I first put them on the car and drove it for the first time. on 1/5/07

paid 225.00 for the rims and yokos. then paid 185.00 for the new white powder coating

3rd up the DXR 18*8 5*114 with a 48 off set and the falken tires

paid 300.00 for the rims new and 150.00 for the tires with 300miles on them

4th up the rota boost 17*8 5*114 with a 48 off set and bridgestone all seaons

paid 250.00 for the rims and tires and paid 240.00 for the black powder coating

5th ?

but in all it has come a long way from when I got the car back in 2006

new stuff showed up yesterday but the dumb ups guy left it at the front door at 9:45 with out ringing the bell.
I have to trim the the fan brackets alittle bit to get them more room on the radiator and hope that it all fit's in there since it is a really tight fit to start with.

the fan came from FAL as a fixed unit for over 1/2 off. Just going to paint it black this summer when it is warm out.
