Fuel pump dies???

Ok, so this weekend I drove my car like normal, no CEL. Then I turned it off, came back later to start it, and no fuel pump hum. I checked and replaced the fuel pump relays and nothing. I replaced the fuel pump with a used one and the car fires up.

Then comes sunday when I want to take my car to college... Drove it earlier, ran fine... Then later, the same thing... The 2nd pump dies! What? Before I left, I started looking for grounds or shorts in the fuel pump area. Where else should I look or consider?

thats what i would look for. check for loose grounds and loose power wires. so check connectivity, and voltage to the fuel pump hanger and go from there
