fuel lab filter okay for stock setup?

Is it okay to use this fuel lab filter for my stock rebuild? I didn't realize most people recomend using an OEM filter, but got a deal on the filter with the braided fuel line hose when I was originally just getting new fuel lines. I thought a bigger filter could only be better, am I wrong? Does this mean I should go ahead with doing the fuel pump rewire? Or.should I.just buy a new OEM filter? I already went ahead changed the stock fuel regulator to an adjustable with a gauge. Was wondering how you can tell if your AFPR is.adjusted one way to far out of the box? Best way to be on the safe side?

It would be overkill, but work fine. You will need to set the base idle pressure as per the manual. I would never trust a preset pressure.

So there's nothing I can do before I get everything running? Id like to check out the AFPR before I pass fuel through it. Possible? Or is it better to open it up more since.running rich.isn't as bad as running lean?

You can adjust the adpr while the car is off if you have ecmlink and can turn on the fuel pump, if not its no biggie and set it while the car is at idle

Moto, thanks for breaking my post down like you did, very helpful and I'm really glad because I thread locked all the fittings.

The main thing is Im a newb at tuning but I heard the stock regulator is just a restrictor since the awds had a fuel return problem. (Wondering if it was the moved gas tanks?)

On another side note, can you use a hose to fix the threaded hardline part if it's totally destroyed?

So the fuel pump rewire should be done on ANY setup? My goal is a reliable daily driver

Yes you can fix a section with some hose, just make sure it can handle the psi ~75+ just in case. Rewiring the fuel pump with give it constant voltage which means a constant flow
