fresh custom paint job , what do you think?

i just got a fresh paint just got the car today with custom paint job candy red Metallic

what do you think of the color on dsm? and can you share how much should a custom paint like this cost? i already paid but i want to know from you approximate price because i feel i paid much.

its dark here now so i cant get it to the sun as for the above

Thats because they want a pic in daylight to see the finish!

I can pay 500 pounds for a spray over will be ok but is crap and i can also pay 2000-3000 for a decent job with every thing off the car. No one will answer untill they see a daylight shot

A decent paint job will run anywhere from $2500-4k with some mild bodywork included, with paintjobs the sky is the limit. I'm am just finishing up my girlfriends 90 AWD and a Jeep that was in a collision. If the car was single stage with minimal prep it could be a $1500 job, if it was blocked, epoxied, based and cleared it could be a 3k job. If the paint had a midcoat between the base and clear it could be upwards of 5k. It really depends on the amount of work done, which you never really told us, you only told us a color and little background on the prep and finish. I guess what I'm trying to say is we need more information. The paint manufacturer also plays a huge role as some companies charge buco bucks for their name.

the brand of the paint is evercoat e138 violet candy red and the job was done in total in 3 days including the wet sanding because some area where rough , the painter put 5 coats in total he primed and then 4 coats on top. this is what he said. a lot of sanding was done after because some areas where really rough . they prepared the car for 2 days and then paint it in one day. they charged me AED 3000 = more or less 900 USD. its already too much here as you can get you car painted as cheap as 300 USD. a lot of cheap labor here in UAE so its really different . for example the painter i gave him a 15 USD tips and he could not stop thanking me all day. these painters get average salary of USD 300 a month which is really sad but they are not complaining at all. we have some paint shops also that charges 15000 USD for paint job but those are for people driving luxury cars not for normal people like me and you . the car was painted by people from bangladish and they are really hard workers and yet they still have low salaries.

if 1500 usd in us is the cheapest then i guess i got a fantastic deal.

Evercoat makes decent products... I usually use their Rage Extreme fillers. For $900 you got a deal. That's the typical bottom of the barrel Maaco paint job over here, They are usually full of orange peel and look like crap. I wouldn't feel like I got ripped off if I got a paint job for $900 and it looked good!

here are some pics taken in the afternoon in the parking , the car changes color all the time , in the night it has different color and in the shade its RED RED and in the normal light its candy red . i really dont know the color

what do you think guys , shall i also change the RIMS? those are LENSO 17 inch but i think i might need to change their color

try to find the evo 8 wheels, then go for the crome oem headlights.. will look nicer with paint and 2ga bumper.

correction, wheels will look fine is you just drop the car.
lose that huge fender gap.

Where he lives Asia. $900 Is alot of money for a paint job.

Emp I thought you sold your dsm and got a new one, or you have the same one still ?
