fitting?

hey guys!!! was looking at some pics on jayracing's website and found this pic! does anyone know what is for? I assume its for crank case pressure but not sure...any opinions would be great

I've seen someone on the dsmlink forums that had a crank vent there.

If you're referring to the blue fitting between runners #2 & #3 - yes, it's for crankcase evacuation. It's just an alternative location if you don't want to exit pressure through the valve cover.

couldnt i just do 2 fiitings in the valve cover and the one in the head between the runners to allow more relief of the crank case pressure? has anyone ever done this mod and is it worth it? thanks

The most common way I've seen is drilling to 1/4" fittings into the passenger side of the valve cover and running thenm to a catch can. As far as what kinf og performance you're going to get you'd need some check-valves to make sure that the crank has negative pressure, but its only an issue in high boost cars (some of the local DSMers running 35-45PSI on E85).
