E fitting?

Ok I was looking over my engine bay on my car, I got this new car about 3 weeks ago and was looking it over to make sure I didnt miss any mods. Well I look at the nylon tube going towards the boost gauge and trace it back and it is going into the E tube on the throttle body and I'm use to seeing it T'd into the FPR. My boost guage isnt even T'd its just unplugged from where the tube SHOULD go and the nylon tube goes into it. So now there is an open hole where the E tube should go. The thing is both boost guages work and they are reading correctly so I'm wondering if this hook up is ok and if it should be T'ed just for safety and will this reading work all the time? Also couldthanks this be throwing a check engine light since the tube isnt getting connected?

You could probably just put the tee in and do it right. I can't remember what the E line does but it might be related to your CEL. EGR maybe? Pull the code if you can.

sorry the digital camera is broke but I'm really wanting to know if this will hurt the engine any in the long run. All my guages still work and I cant pull the CEL until i get down to autozone so anyone got any clue? I tried to look in the Chilton's manuel but it didnt say what the tube went to. It is the E tube and goes from the intake to the firewall into a little box. anybody know?
