So, which would provide more horsepower--the ported exhaust manifold, or a 3 inch DP and high flow cat? I have enough to get either the manifold or the DP and high flow cat and want to go with the one the provides more power.

Thanks,
Steve

Well, if you think about it, getting the manifold would open up the exhaust from there, but then you'd be bottlenecked by the dp and cat anyway. Might as well get the dp and cat first.

Since I am trying to keep the car legal, I have decided to use a high flow cat.

Mystic511, what you say does make sense. I also notice that the DP and cat are listed as first upgrades before the manifold.

Anyone else feel this DP and cat is the most logical, and beneficial upgrade?

DP and cat. No point in opening up the beginning of your exhaust with a manifold and then restricting it again through the DP and cat. IMHO, I think you are better off saving for the manifold as well and putting it on all at once. I did my manifold, O2 housing, and RnR turbo-back in a weekend and it just made life a little easier since I pulled everything one time and I was done. I also ported my 14b to match the porting that I did on the manifold and O2 housing while I had it out.
