EVOIII 16g doesn't spool till 4500rpm!!

I'm asking for my friend's Auto GSX. We installed a Evo3 16g on the car with a full apexi n1 turbo back exhaust but no fuel mods yet. Nothing was ported or anything but the spool up is super slow. Whats wrong with the car? All I can think of is either it has an exhaust leak or it needs fuel mods. OR it might be because its an Auto...

did you guys checked the wastegate hoses...? are they correctly plugged and with no leaks, I think this could be it, that the wastegate its not completely closing therefore the turbo takes longer to complete spooling.... try that if not maybe the exhaust manifold is cracked badly? or leaking...

I bet the wastegate actuator bracket got bent, so that wastegate is being held open a little bit.

Check that. You should have to pull the arm out of the actuator a little bit to get it to fit over the wastegate level.

its definately not because the car is automatic. my auto spools the evo3 16g to 0 vacuum by 2500 rpms, or mayb a lil less than that
