30psi efficient? Where did you hear that at? I'm not calling you out on anything, just wondering where that info came from.CanadianTSi said:The real Evo 3 can do 30psi, so it should be close to that...

XakEp said:At 20 lbs/min maybe. The more airflow youre pushing the more power you'll make at lower boost. Unless you have a good setup boost isnt what you need to be worrying about - its your airflow.
XakEp said:Log it and find out. Turning up the boost doesnt always increase airflow - esp if its past the efficiency range.
Whats the max rating on the Evo III 16G? 44 lbs/min seems pretty darn healthy for a small turbo like that.
Efficiency what?
Good to hear from someone with actual info here. I didn't realize the Evo3 would be efficient at that boost level. So much for the Evo3 only being "efficient for 20lbs".ShapeGSX said:I have datalogged 44.1lb/min at 7100RPM at 26psi on mine. Nice cold day. Intake air temp was 41F.
At 5259RPM, after the shift into 3rd, boost spiked to 30psi and I hit 42.1lb/min.
I'd upload the datalog of it, but the stupid forum doesn't accept .dat files.![]()
Of course, this is the real MHI Evo III.Efficiency what?
