Thinking about saving and getting the 2004 Evo instead of buying a GSX. What do you guys think about the evo? pros and cons?

:thumbdown I don't like the look of the EVO.
I would like my Spyder to have the EVO engine & drivetrain setup.
Only bought my Spyder because it was a Spyder...best I could think of at the time. I4 Turbo.
30Gs? Why get a DSM...No resale value.
I might get flamed for saying that but its true.
<=== I've owned many. Still love em but its the truth.
 If I had 30Gs I'd get an NSX. But then again, I think you're talking about a loan.
Just my two cents.

srt-4 is damn nice. dont like the domestics tho. for 30k you could get a 350z or G35. the 350z looks the best out of all of them. it also handles decently, especially if you get the z with traction control. for an additional 13 grand you can get a stroker kit and twin turbo setup for the car and you'll be puttin out around 700 hp.

sure dsm's are imports. they are under the mitsubish name. they also look like imports, sound like imports, and are easily upgradable like imports.

All dsm were built in Illinois. Don't forget they're under the chrysler name too...

 Maybe you can use Honda tape & gain 10hp. Point...any car with an average turbo(excluding the T25
) & big FMIC would make good HP. The Neon engine is Junk...BUT the force induction setup makes it an ok car. 20Gs? Foe Ged It!

To get a GSX up to par with a stock evo, you would put more $$$ into it then you would pay for the EVO.

20Gs =
10G for 2G GSX
10G for performance parts & 12s

If domestics arebnt your thing then dont buy a dsm, they arent imports. The 350z and srt run 14.0-13.9 not as fast as the evo. If I were to get a car to beat it I would go to my work and purchase a 03 cobra for about 24k and smoke any car mentioned in this thread:laugh: .
Andrew
edit: I forgot to mention my dealer is blue oval certified and I get a nice discount, they normall run about 35k-40k.

You obviously missed the Hot Rod magazine where they compared an STi and a Mustang Cobra. The Sti was faster and Hot Rod actually admitted that it was the better car.

i'm sure chrysler is kicking its own ass for cutting the DSM line now that car tuning is at its highest peak in popularity.
